My Awesome BKK Trip: Day 3

13 March 2011

Woke up late, missed breakfast (refer to previous post). Changed and all ready to continue shopping! Funny how we get physically tired but never mentally tired. Girlsss~

While waiting for Jane to get ready
Brought my super cute rila slippers there! :)
My flabs look thin here right! (Hannaaaa, I know is the angle la)

This is the lizard the scared the hell out of me. LOOKS DAMN REAL RIGHT
I must mention how evil the guys are! After the first time of scaring, they're still not satisfied! While waiting for some of them to change money, Hisyam asked me to hold his wallet for him for a while. I did, and then he asked me to help him check how much he had. When I opened the wallet, the lizard was lying there. WTF MAN! I threw his wallet onto ground (and scolded the f word)! And I was got so traumatised that I started crying. No joke!

And the guys were so guilty that since then, the lizard went missing. LOL

In the cabby to Chinatown.

You know it's Chinatown when you see lots of chinese words!
Huge temple!
Must post this picture because we started off empty handed!
Never ending hair accessories that are oh my god-ish cheap!
BUY BUY BUY BUY
Cute soft toys! Tempted to buy... but don't wanna waste money on that!

Chinatown sells many bags that are really cheap and even cheaper when we buy in wholesale! That explains the loots on my hands which are so bulky and heavy! Bought 7 bags in total >:)

From 3
To 4
To 5! (Dual screen camera FTW!)
We're travelling in 5s again! Ditched the guys (actually they ditched us LOL). Chinatown has NOTHING for guys at all! (except food?)

We were so tired (because of the bulky bags) and wanted to give up already. But heng we persevered till we find this ring shop!
It has never ending trays of rings that are all really nice and cheap! Like... 15baht, 25baht, 35baht. That's like SGD less than 1 or slightly more than1 only! Imagine blogshops/ retail shops selling them at what, SGD 20. MADNESS!!
Happy us left chinatown and off we went to Siam Square!
We realised that it's pronouced as sai-um square, not see-arm square . No wonder the cab uncle was abit blur when we told him where we wanted to go.
I guess we were lucky to witness this rooftop concert. Think he's quite famous singer there, since there was ALOT of people! Not bad, quite smart of them. Save space leh! No need stage! HAHA

Hungry us saw A&W and chiong-ed in.I know A&W is famous for their root beer but I seriously hate root beer. Pepsi nicer!Gina and I are root beer haters and we both agreed that A&W only disappeared in Sg because too many people hate root beer that they have no business LOL.

Curly fries!
I had Chicken burgerDoes it look yummy? Because it seriously sucks. NOT NICEEE :( We all agreed that food there wasn't good at all!Girls just love mirrors :)Siam Square vvvv near MBK, so we went there again. Pk wasn't satisfied with her nails so we went back to the same shop to re-do it!SUPER CUTE DESIGN RIGHT! (Even got bra and panties LOL)After that we walked around MBK a little before surrendering. Called the guys who were at MBK too (they just finished watching movie. Such different lifestyles HAHA) and waited for them to come and find us. We need them to carry our loots!!!!!
We just stood at a side, put down everything and waited. I couldn't stop complaining how heavy they were for the whole day!!
Cary till hands like that. Sobsss.

Yayyyy!! Rescuers FTW!
We went back to the hotel and the staffs had to bully rila like that!
Kuroumi just has to look so evil! Rila looks tortured!! :'(Bought more than 40 rings!!

Remember we had Japanese curry for dinner the previous day? The guys went to this Halal restaurant near our hotel and they loved the food so much, they had to bring us there! (Or maybe just lazy to travel)

Complimentary dish
Macaroni- Super yum!!!

American fried rice- I like how the cook it with peanuts and make them compliment so well!

After a full and satisfied dinner, they decided to go back to the hotel and shit (for sam -.-) and stuffs but Pk, Jane and I didn't wanna go back! So we decided to shop around the night market. Js tagged along
Bought some belts. Very cheap ^^ And went back to the hotel to meet them.
I know right, cannot stop showing off.
And... Our night activity was to go to Patpong, the red light district of Thailand!
It's a 1000x worst than Singapore's Geylang. Prostitutes are everywhere along this stretch, and every 10m you walk, there will be someone asking you if you wanna watch the thai girl show. Which is confirm something dirty one lor!

Pubs there do not close their doors and once you look in, you'll see girls in bikini dancing with the bars on the podium!

And.... we actually went into one of the pubs! Which was kind of a waste of money. 200 baht for only 1 drink. Plus, I think we went to the wrong bar, the girls were like... fat and ugly *slaps mouth*. And some very obvious is trans somemore! 200 baht can buy 2 more tops/1 dress leh!! Hahahha.

There was another lane, which is where all the gigolos and gays are. I think this one is more scary because the guys will just approach you and touch you! And they have their kind of show too. Omgosh.. Scary!

Cabbed back to the hotel, some of them went for massage while the rest just slacked! Oh I forgot to mention I went for thai massage the previous day! IT WAS PAINFUL!!!!!! And ticklish! But the lady say my body is soft because normally will have alot of "krug krug krug" (You know, sound of cracking of the bones or smth) but mine only got like 1-2 times?? Hahaha. AND A GUY FARTED DAMN LOUD DURING THE MASSAGE. Gina and I couldn't stop laughing!!!

That's the end of day 3! :D
