Travelogue: Bali (Part 1)

Finally blogging about Bali. Life hasn't been very kind to me ever since we're back. I've been dealing with endless assignments and project!

7 Oct 2012

Just 1 day after Qf's POP, we're off to Bali! Got our tickets at sale prices from Air Asia. Can you believe it, it's only $108 both ways!!!

Rainy Singapore

Arrived at Bali 2.5 hours later! We had a driver to fetch us over to our villa. Feels like a superstar because the guy was holding a paper with my name on it. Hehe!

In the minivan:

The roads were super congested and it took us quite a while before reaching the villa. The driver actually fetched us to the wrong villa at first. And so coincidentally, it was another villa that we were choosing between!

This is the correct villa, Villa Puteri:

A huge tub that can fit the 6 of us

Opened rain shower. I don't know what we would do if it rains!

Super beautiful right! And each of us only paid S$166 for 4 nights! I feel that it's super worth it. But, the downside of this villa is it's location. It's located so deep inside that it's impossible to walk out the main road! Thankfully we have a personally housekeeper and a security guard that can call cabs in for us. Not too bad I guess!

Oh yah! Out of the 3 rooms, only 1 had the walk-in closet and big bathtub. Obviously everyone wanted the room. And our reason of "It's qf's POP trip so he's the main lead" doesn't seem valid enough. Resorted to picking lots and Rb and Ck got the rooms. They said it was to be fair because they had no gf so they should enjoy the tub. Oh well!

We all hopped into the pool for a swim immediately!

Dinner was at Ultimo, a restaurant at Seminyak recommended by Pk.

There's a live singer that sings opera-ish songs. He actually sang the ferrero rocher advertisement song!

Once the guys sit together they only talk about army. Teri and I was sooo boreddd hahaha

The guys ordered some 4 course set meal while Teri and I ordered ala-carte pasta. We had to wait until their last course is served before our pasta is served to us. By the time our food came I was already full from the hungry-ness! If you get what I mean.

Anyway, I ordered cabonara (boring me) and Teri had ravioli!

Food was indeed great, and the ambiance is so nice and romantic! For the price we paid, I feel it's so worth it. Anyway we were surprised that the meal took us almost 2 hours to complete. Is this the way Italians eat?

Walked around the quiet streets of Seminyak. Shops generally closes quite early there. Around 10plus pm and the it's quite quiet already. Bought some random stuffs at the supermarket before returning to the villa.

Beautiful Villa Puteri at night

A picture of us to end day 1!

Day 2; 8 Oct 2012

Putu (our housekeeper) prepared breakfast for us!

A picture of us before we left the villa

Villa puTERI and Teri

Wanted to eat at this Jap restaurant near our villa but unfortunately it's closed.

So we walked on and settled down at a random cafe selling Italian food (again)

It was a nice and quaint cafe, nicely decorated!

Food wasn't exactly super fantastic, but will do.

While waiting for cab

I shall end the post here!

Sneak peak of the rest of day 2... We spent our day here!

To be continued.....
