Yes, judge us all you want. Qf and I got together on National day. I have no idea why he picked this fateful day to pop the question but anyways... It's been 4 years but I can still remember very clearly everything that happened on 9 August 2009 :)
We wanted to go to River safari but woke up a little later than expected! So.... we just kinda added in some impromptu plans here and there!
Watch of the day :)
These are gifts from Joslyn all the way from Tamworth! I love the Pods it's damn yummy omg! And spot that weird kangaroo thingy...
IT IS ACTUALLY A GOD DAMN SCROTUM OF A KANGAROO HOLY SHIT
Now rilakkuma grew some balls too LOL
I love that Aussie chocolates comes with a reseal sticker. So convenient!
First stop: House Dempsey because I wanted to have some truffle fries!!!
Qf really looks like he is reading some newspaper but that's their menu haha!
Nice outdoor seatings they have but it was drizzling
We only ordered the truffle fries and a salad because we already had lunch at Qf's place!
Yummeh I love truffle fries!!!
And next stop was PasarBella since Qf mentioned that it was in the vicinity.
Sometimes I wonder: Why am I so vain?! HAHA
Anyway, it's so cool inside! Like an atas market. Everything was pretty expensive as expected but it was nice to just walk around and explore the whole market.
A pink fire hosereel!!!!
Spotted this strawberry shortcake icecream sandwich and I had to have it!!! It's $6 for one btw
Yummy, I love it!!
Qf and I then got attracted to this stall and for me it just reminds me of suckling pigs usually served in wedding dinners. So yummy! We decided to order something but didn't know what to order so.... random!
Got the pork belly which we came to realize it's just..... shio bah. Lolol! Anyway, it tasted really good! The skin was so crispy! And for a plate of this, it costed $6 too.
Left PasarBella for Bugis, where we went for watch adjustment. And tadahhhh this was my anniversary gift for us! Not really my style but for Qf I am willing to sacrifice HAHA!
Dinner was a hidden gem, La Villa.
We were the only lonely soul in the entire carpark hahah
We reached kinda early so decided to just walk around (there was nothing to walk btw hahha) and take some pictures??
Splitpic hahaha
I love Singapore!!!
The outdoor area was so tempting because it looks so chill and nice! But for Mr sweatypant's sake, we took the indoor seats, which were beautiful as well :)
Complimentary bread
We decided to order a pizza and pasta to share and the typical me would definitely have Hawaiian pizza + Cabonara. I can't think of any combination more typical than this lol! Okay, a better word to describe my choices is SAFE. Because these never goes wrong!
For this meal, I decided to take Qf's advises and be less typical!
We ordered Funghi Pizza
I'm not really a big fan of mushrooms and egg yolk but this WAS GOOD MAN. The mushroom taste wasn't overwhelming and the entire combination is just yum! Plus, it's cooked in wood fire, which makes the thin crust so crispy. Mega loveeee
And for the Spaghetti, we ordered the Linguini in White Wine sauce with Clams, Prawns and fresh Parsley
I admit I was rather skeptical at first because.... white wine??? I don't know man! Just felt insecure because it was something new! Haha! But anyway, it's damn good???
The sauce has this fresh taste that has a slight tinge or sourness in it. The linguine was cooked to a perfect hardness. So chewy! Mmmmmmmm delicious!!!
Oh by the way they served the food course by course, which was the authentic Italian way of serving! We had a super long dinner because of that. Think we took more than 2 hours? Our usual meal will take us less than 30 mins to complete haha! It was nice to just sit back and slowly savor on the food instead of just stuffing (referring to Qf HAHA) till our tummies were satisfied. We also had a nice chat :)
And then we decided to move to the outdoor seatings and also ordered our dessert
And here it is.... the legendary Cioccolata!
The reviews on La Villa mostly included how this is an must order so we decided to try it despite our exploding tummies! There's always room for desserts right????
And we certainly didn't regret it AT ALL. It's SOOO good you have to try it to believe it! Even Qf who hates chocolate LOVED it!
The night ended with us doing meaningless grocery shopping and watching the Conjuring. I was scared like hell >.< Don't know how I used to LOVE horror movies so much. Our first few dates used to be filled with horror movies! People do change huh! I'm so humji now lolol
Anyway, ending of with pictures of us :)
Just want to thank Qf for always loving me, taking care of me and treating me like a princess. And after all these years, I still get the butterflies hehe! Love you Mr Q!!! xx
just continue lying to yourself loh (refering to your outfit!) lolol bitch.
ReplyDeletewah so many nice places!!! i wanna go!!!
