Travel: Bangkok (again)

Woke up at 5am and got ready for our little getaway. Compensation for the failed Taipei trip!

I absolutely love the cutting this houndstooth skater skorts!

Liky was our joke of the day ever since the start hahahaha. Off we go~~~~

If you ask me why I love the skies, I really believe that there are no worries there

And we arrived at Bangkok! I love Bkk!! hehehe

We stayed at Grand Alpine Hotel, which was chosen and booked by Pk. This is the first time I ever check into a hotel that I have no prior information to. Normally I am the one browsing through pages and pages of hotels on Agoda (I have a weird liking for doing that actually lolol), looking at the pretty hotels and deciding which to book! Felt weird actually! Like there's a suspense when they open the room door! Haha!

Anyway the stay was fine though there were super lots of bad reviews about this hotel on Tripadvisor.

First stop of the day: Pratunam Wanton mee!

I have mentioned before I'm not a HUGE fan of this wanton mee although it's like super popular amongst Singaporeans. It's small, salty and oily! Haha. Anyway, it was Jingshen's treat!

Then we separated ways. Pk and I combed the Pratunam area. I love Pratunam!!

And when we were done and had some time left before meeting the guys, we moved on to Platinum

I feel like a stalker for the top 3 photos hahahahah

There are like food stalls outside Platinum now?? Haven't seen them in all my previous trips!

These churros are awesome and they only cost 30baht!! You can choose which toppings you want too. I chose cinammon sugar which was yum yum to my tum tum!

Strawberry smoothie to beat the heat. The weather was crazily hot!!!!

Back at the hotel to put down our buys before we headed out to Siam Paragon. Tried the highly raved After you desserts

Nutella honey toast. DAMN AWESOME I TELL YOU

Have to try this if you're in Bkk! Their toasts is da bomb!!!!!!!!!!

Then we just randomly walked around.. and spotted sushi doughnuts! How adorable

I FOUND NEMO!!!

Spot Jingshen's fanboy moments while we shopped at the Siam night market

The guys each bought a pair of shoes which cost 990 baht each making all of us so broke because they didn't bring enough cash with them and had to borrow from us. Our initial plan of having mookata at Bar B Q plaza had to be changed to looking for cheap local street stall mookata! It's only 139 for the buffet!

All of us were first time mookata-ers (lolol I made that word up) and we really don't know what to do! Looked around and other people's pot were so happening unlike ours! Anyway, I think we were the only non-locals around there.

Ended the night with the much needed foot massage!!! (Luckily we manage to find money changer even at such late hours!)

4th September 2013

Woke up early in the morning for the morning market. When I was walking to the toilet in the room, I had a shock of my life to realise that my room door was left slightly ajar! It's like my eyes went from (-.-) to (0.0)! Immediately went to check if our belongings were stolen and everything was left the same as before we went to bed. Can't believe we are so careless to forget to close the door??? And thank goodness nothing happened!

And we had breakfast back at the hotel!

Checked out and headed for more shopping at Platinum

And lastly, we decided to cafe hop a little more and went to Siam Centre

I love this cafe so much because of the pretty windows and setting! Took a picture outside although we didn't dine there wahahah

Then back we went to the airport. Liky and I were literally broke and didn't have enough money for dinner! Thank you Pk for sharing your subway sandwich with me wahahahaha.

Anyway, after checking in, I saw this SQ girl stand and I told them "eh, I wanna take pic with the SQ girl" I swear all of them gave me a judgmental look but in the end they all took a photo with it too. Liky even use it as his profile picture. WHO WAS THE ONE WHO SUGGESTED HUH!?

End of our 2D1N Bkk! Don't know if it will be the last Bkk trip of the year because I'm always keeping my arms and mind open for the land of smiles :)
